Dear Animal Lover,
Yesterday the Canadian government gave commercial sealers permission to start killing the few baby seals who survived this season's devastating lack of ice.
We asked the Canadian government to cancel the hunt, but instead it radically upped the number of seals to be slaughtered: 388,200 harp, grey, and hooded seals.
Seriously, Canada?

Most seal pups died this year due to lack of ice. Instead of the Canadian government calling off the hunt, they upped the seal quota to be slaughtered. Seriously??? Was it just to prove to the world that they can do whatever they want? So what these hunters did, was slaughter all of the surviving pups who struggled to stay alive.How cruel is that!!! My God!

This is aweful... I hope supporters of this in the Canadian government have their children clubbed and skinned half alive!
